Manchester-based Clear Horizon IS's innovative CHIME application has been selected by UK Power Networks to replace the network operator’s existing work manager.
Following a valuation of a range of work management applications, the UK’s largest distribution network operator has chosen CHIME to drive the next phase of its mobile work performance improvement.
"UK Power Networks has been developing its existing mobile solution for many years and therefore moving to a new solution was a big decision," said Sul Alli, director of customer service, strategy, regulation and technology at UK Power Networks.
"After an extensive process to select a modern mobile solution, we chose CHIME based on the brilliant feedback from our operational staff who were able to see how the solution could make their jobs easier, and the flexibility of the product to adapt as we identify continuous improvement ideas in our business."
Sul Alli added: "Part of the culture at UK Power Networks is to always look for continuous improvement in performance. We are investing in CHIME to drive improved productivity by using better technology that is more intuitive, easy to use and saves time."
Heather McCusker, founder and chief executive of Clear Horizon IS, said: "CHIME is truly unique in its design and ability to deliver for the network operators, and we are delighted to be able to showcase its capability working with the top performing DNO, UK Power Networks.
"For so many years this industry has faced huge IT costs for complex solutions delivering limited returns, which is now a thing of the past thanks to CHIME."
She added: "Our expertise and the quality of our technology continue to win the confidence of the leading operators in the electricity distribution industry. We’re well placed to build on this momentum and help operators become more productive to support a safer and more efficient network, as the UK targets energy resilience and moves towards a net-zero economy."
Clear Horizon’s team of engineers are based across the UK and Ireland, with company meetings taking place in Manchester.
